Let’s Not Forget the Fur Babies! Delicious Meatloaf for Dogs

Since this is our foodie issue, we had to include a homemade treat for Rover. There are plenty of great reasons to make your dog’s food at home. Most importantly, you have full control over the ingredients—no fillers, artificial preservatives, or low-quality byproducts. That’s especially helpful for pups with allergies, sensitivities, or specific dietary needs.

This simple homemade meatloaf is sure to be a hit. Made with fresh ingredients, loaded with ground beef, fiber-rich greens, and essential nutrients, making a balanced and complete meal to support your pup’s health. This oven-baked meatloaf is also perfect for meal prepping—and guaranteed to get tails wagging at dinnertime.

MEATLOAF FOR DOGS
Formulated for Adult Maintenance

Ingredients

• 1 lb Ground Beef
• 2 Eggs
• ½ Cup Spinach, chopped
• ¾ Cup Sweet Potato, shredded
• 2 TBSP Sunflower Seeds, ground
• ¼ Cup Oats, regular or quick
• 2 TBSP Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare ingredients by chopping leafy greens, shredding sweet potato, and grinding sunflower seeds.
  3. Mix everything in a large bowl, combining ground beef, eggs, leafy greens, sweet potato, oats, sunflower seeds, and Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix.
  4. Shape the meatloaf by pressing the mixture into a lined pan or shape into a loaf on a tray and bake for 40 minutes or until fully cooked.
  5. Cool and serve once fully cooled, slicing into appropriate portions for your dog.

Follow the same steps above, but substitute Dog Child Essential Nutrient Mix with the listed whole food ingredients below.

Ingredients for Essential Nutrient Mix

• 1½ TSP Hulled Hempseeds
• 1 TSP Freeze-Dried Beef Liver, finely ground
• 1 TSP Eggshell Powder
• ½ TSP Nutritional Yeast
• ⅛ TSP Kelp Powder
